Delete your Smaraksh account
Last updated: 28 August 2026 · Applies to the Android application Smaraksh (package com.dvirukthi.smaraksh), published by legal entity name not yet supplied.
You can delete your Smaraksh account and its associated data at any time. You do not need the app installed to make the request.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
- Open Smaraksh and sign in.
- Go to Settings (or tap your account avatar on the Home screen), then select Delete account.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field, then tap Permanently delete my account. Your account and the data listed below are deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion without the app
Email dvirukthi@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Smaraksh account, with the subject line Delete my Smaraksh account.
We will confirm your identity using the address you write from and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your Smaraksh account record
- Your email address, display name, and account identifier
- Your authentication credentials held by Firebase Authentication
What is already on your device only
Your detection history, alert preferences, and detection settings are stored solely on your phone and never reach our servers. Your location is used only momentarily, while the camera screen is open, to show your current speed — it is never written to storage and never reaches our servers. Uninstalling Smaraksh removes all locally stored data. Deleting your account does not require you to uninstall, and uninstalling does not delete your account — use one of the two options above for that.
What is retained, and for how long
| Data | Retention after deletion | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Crash and diagnostic reports | Up to 90 days | Held by Firebase Crashlytics and not linked to your name or email address |
| Server access logs | retention period not yet supplied | Security monitoring and abuse prevention |
| Records we are legally required to keep | As required by applicable law | Legal and regulatory obligations |
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted it cannot be restored, and signing in again creates a new, empty account.
